Thank you for your comment, Ellen! I agree that the lag on Google Hangouts is frustrating. I also use Camtasia, and I checked out Zoom–great tools! Also, I agree that being able to see us is a big plus during a webinar…so much more engaging! Bottom line, though, webinars and teleseminars are definitely powerful ways to share our message and grow our business.

It’s true that some people like to listen to audio, but you can easily post the audio of a webinar. I use Zoom, which automatically records both video and audio and I edit in Camtasia, which can also output both. Lisa doesn’t mention using webcam during a webinar, but it’s such an advantage. People can see you and so it’s much more like a live talk. Also, the persuasive value of images is so powerful. Look at the image you posted at the top of the blog post. Without that image, fewer people would be attracted to read it. Imagine social media posts without images. Why give that up? I tried WebinarJam and liked it, but I found Google+ Hangouts on Air (which it uses) to be glitchy and slow (there’s a lag) — hard for an interactive webinar. Anyway, that’s my take on it.
